This weekend marks the highly anticipated debut of The Wedding Collective (TWC). From August 23-25, Pavilion 3 at the Jio World Convention Centre will transform into a vibrant hub, showcasing the country’s best design talent. Over the course of these three days, you'll find everything you need to craft your dream wedding—all under one roof.

The Wedding Collective is the result of over a year of meticulous planning and collaboration, powered by a network of talented women. Introducing The Inner Circle—our esteemed ambassadors from across India and around the globe—who have played a pivotal role in amplifying TWC’s reach and influence.

Anjali Gaekwar

Anjali Gaekwar

Mumbai-based Anjali Gaekwar has a sharp instinct for luxury and a flair for fashion. She started her professional journey at Chateau Indage and Red Bull, where she played pivotal roles in their brand development, led the team at Estée Lauder, orchestrating the set-up of nine stores and numerous high-profile events and was the country head for Christian Louboutin in India, earning acclaim for her dedication, taking the brand to new heights and a results-driven approach in initiating and establishing pivotal brand connections.

What does your role as an ambassador at TWC entail?

My role consists of assisting my friends who are going to be brides and grooms in planning their dream wedding. They can get everything they need all under one roof at TWC, and have access to industry leaders and experts.

What are you looking forward to at TWC?

The jewellers from all over the country, and of course the designers who will be present.

What are the biggest wedding trends according to you?

One of the trends is a drastic shift towards individuality in the wedding space, as couples increasingly choose to break the rules and lean more towards personalised affairs that reinforce their love story. Because of this, 2024 wedding fashion trends will feel increasingly unique, focusing primarily on personal style.

Mumbai-based Rahimtoola has made a name for herself as a curator and bridal advisor. She was the co-founder of ATOSA, a multi-label store that brought together the best of Indian design talent.

What does your role as an ambassador at TWC entail?

As a bridal consultant, I will be offering my network, who is the target audience, the chance to experience this event. I will be there over the three days, helping brides and grooms choose outfits that not only reflect their personalities but also complement the overall wedding, interact with the designers and offer expert insights to the couples and their families.

What are the biggest wedding trends according to you?

Outfits inspired by royal Mughal and Rajputana aesthetics, intricate jaali patterns, a blend of tradition with modernity like weaves like Banarasi and Kanjeevaram silks, updated with modern cuts and silhouettes. Also a focus on storytelling. Brides are commissioning custom bridal outfits with every detail personalised, from the colour palette to the embroidery patterns, and coordinated trousseau sets that maintain thematic continuity across the wedding events.

London-based Seth-Mediratta's years of experience with brand building can be clearly reflected in the countless luxury labels she has worked with. She brings together East and West with her curated experiential events bringing the best of Indian talent to London.

What does your role as an ambassador at TWC entail?

As a brand ambassador for The Wedding Collective, my role is to introduce international guests and my large network of clients to this luxurious three-day event.

What are you looking forward to at TWC?

I am most excited to be a part of the inaugural Wedding Collective event. I'm looking forward to seeing the carefully curated brands from all over India, incorporating the best of Indian design, craftsmanship and well-made products, and then being able to share them with my network in the UK.

Anything on your shopping list?

I'm especially looking forward to getting my hands on a traditional piece from the 'Rare Heritage' pret jewellery collection that I can wear back home to a black-tie event or paired to elevate a simple white shirt and jeans.

What was the one thing you wish you could do over from your wedding?

My wedding was a dream, and we had our family and friends fly in from all over to celebrate with us, but I wished I had more time to spend with all of them.

What are the biggest wedding trends according to you?

The discerning bride and groom are looking for something different, something authentic and homegrown, yet something wearable and comfortable. The biggest trend in my opinion is to sparkle on your big day, but incorporate an heirloom piece to one of your bridal looks.

Meenakshi Kuwadekar is a luxury and lifestyle consultant as well as host of the podcast, M Power.

What does your role as an ambassador at TWC entail?

To represent the brands showcasing at The Wedding Collective to my elite group of friends, family and followers, and guide them with my expertise to discover the latest and best in fashion, beauty and jewellery.

What are you looking forward to at TWC? Anything on your shopping list?

Everything! Since they are showcasing the best of Indian designers and jewellers, I can’t wait to get my hands on some unique pieces for the festive season and for an upcoming family wedding too.

What was the one thing you wish you could do over from your wedding?

I wore couture and a lot of gold. Maybe I would add more diamonds and emeralds.

What are the biggest wedding trends according to you?

Jewels that are statement pieces but light in weight and layered so you can wear them again. In fashion to mention a few—concept saris since they are a perfect blend between a classic sari and an illusion of a lehenga. Shararas are also an all-time favourite. It’s a very flattering silhouette for all ages and body types. The new trend for brides is also moving from traditional reds to ivories and whites. And, of course, the fresh glow for brides in beauty and make up.

The Mumbai-based founder of Krittara Jewels, Agarwal has turned her passion for art and heirlooms into a bespoke jewellery atelier.

What does your role as an ambassador at TWC entail?

Inviting close friends and family from Raipur and Mumbai for the show and sharing with them the experience of the first ever Wedding Collective.

What are you looking forward to at TWC?

I’m excited to see all the Indian designer wear for the upcoming wedding and festive season.

What are the biggest wedding trends according to you?

Art deco jewellery is going to see quite a resurgence.

The Mumbai-based content creator behind @luxiste is also a style coach working across fashion and jewellery brands in India and internationally.

What does your role as an ambassador at TWC entail?

My role as ambassador is to spread awareness and invite my friends, family and clients to the first edition of The Wedding Collective.

What are you looking forward to at TWC? Anything on your shopping list?

I am looking forward to seeing the curation, discovering a few new brands and shopping my heart out for the upcoming festive and wedding season. Clothes, jewellery, accessories, gifts… just about everything is on my list.

What was the one thing you wish you could do over from your wedding?

I wish I could have planned my wedding more for me and us as a couple, rather than for what was expected as the norm and tradition.

What are the biggest wedding trends according to you?

Nude as a colour and neutrals in general seems to be a definite wedding trend this season. Apart from that, unconventional venues and more personalised events continue to trend.

An MBA in Finance, she brings strategic insights into efforts on green belt development, city beautification and landscaping, reflecting her commitment to environmental and social well-being.

What does your role as an ambassador at TWC entail?

Spreading the message about this show and the unique experience the event will offer to the consumers.

What are you looking forward to at TWC? Anything on your shopping list?

I’m looking forward to getting smart and trendy Indo-western wear for the festive season ahead.

What was the one thing you wish you could do over from your wedding?

I would have loved to wear the bridal sneakers which are in fashion currently amongst most brides .

What are the biggest wedding trends according to you?

Brides believe in minimalism. Pastel shades are very popular.They like to wear outfits and jewellery that are comfortable and reflect their personality .

The Mumbai-based founder of Networking Now India and the co-founder SoundRise, Khanna provides an exceptional outlook in the events industry, fostering a platform for entrepreneurs to find their calling. Khanna’s belief in collaboration is the essence of TWC, where many brands come together under one roof.

What does your role as an ambassador at TWC entail?

I’m helping curate a Networking Now India (NNI) community introducing TWC. Our community has women getting married as well as family weddings, and they are all eager shoppers. So I’m excited to share the curation this event offers.

What are you looking forward to at TWC? Anything on your shopping list?

The jewels! I’m looking forward to seeing pieces from jewellers and the designers from all over India.

What are the biggest wedding trends according to you?

Maang Tikkas. I’m so happy they’re back, and also comfortable lehengas without the chore of carrying a dupatta!

Bhatia wears multiple hats. She’s the founder of Pink Soda Exports LLP, a children’s clothing entrepreneur, and a community builder with the launch of Mommy A-Z, a Facebook page she started to foster meaningful connections between like-minded parents.

What does your role as an ambassador at TWC entail?

Promoting and inviting guests to the event.

What are you looking forward to at TWC?

It's a platform to see the collections of all my favourite brands across fashion, jewellery, decor and gifting under one roof, for the upcoming festive season.

What was the one thing you wish you could do over from your wedding?

I would've made a smaller list and had a destination wedding.

What does your role as an ambassador at TWC entail?

My role as an ambassador at TWC entails inviting brides, grooms and families as well as genuine luxury buyers to shop and experience the best brands under one roof at the wedding collective.

What are you looking forward to at TWC? Anything on your shopping list?

I’m looking forward to shopping for some outfits and accessories, for all the weddings that I have to attend this year.

What was the one thing you wish you could do over from your wedding?

One thing that I wish I could do over from my wedding is to plan a destination wedding.

What are the biggest wedding trends according to you?

The biggest wedding trends according to me are real opulence and craftsmanship, finest jewellery along with a modern twist on classic ensembles. I think Isha, Shloka and Radhika Ambani have really redefined bridal couture and royal aspirations for the current bride.

What does your role as an ambassador at TWC entail?

What are you looking forward to at TWC? Anything on your shopping list?

Just to gain more branding awareness, footfall of customers who need brow knowledge and help create the brow of their dreams not just for the wedding, but for every day.

What are the biggest wedding trends according to you?

Intimate weddings, silent disco after hours, ⁠invitations with augmented reality, ⁠QR Codes for guest photo uploads

Rahimtoola’s various interests and years of experience gives her an impeccable taste when it comes to personalised and unique gifts and menu consultations for events.

What does your role as an ambassador at TWC entail?

I'm on the hunt for the perfect bridesmaid outfit since many of my close friends are getting married this year. I'm super excited to explore all the stunning designs at The Wedding Collective. It's going to be fun finding something that’s both stylish and unique—because every wedding deserves a little extra flair.

What are you looking forward to at TWC? Anything on your shopping list?

I'm all about making a statement, so I'm really drawn to bold accessories and statement pieces this season.

What are the biggest wedding trends according to you?

Brides are making a statement with bold veils, oversized bows and elaborate headpieces. I love how they can completely transform a look and make it truly unforgettable. Plus, I'm super excited to see the experimental bridal trends like corset lehengas and saris. They bring such a fresh and edgy vibe—perfect for a bride who wants to stand out!

When Upasana Asrani founded Madras Art Weekend, the purpose behind her initiative was manifold, but in essence, her core intention and interest was to create a platform to promote the arts. She’s spent a 20-year-stint in the fashion industry and she consults for various luxury brands across the globe.

What does your role as an ambassador at TWC entail?

A wonderful association and collaboration to curate a guest list of the top 20 families from Chennai.

What are you looking forward to at TWC?

I’m looking forward to an amazing lineup of the best names in the industry for luxury, fashion and high jewellery.

Anything on your shopping list?

Yes, can’t wait to check out all the designers and whatever catches my fancy.

What was the one thing you wish you could do over from your wedding?

I wish The Wedding Collective was an option during my wedding.

What are the biggest wedding trends according to you?

Lighter bridal wear lehengas to make it more comfortable for the bride, a wide array of wedding management companies and definitely, new age technology from drones, to projection mapping and cutting edge decor.
